The
heart behind Gen-Z is that we would be a GENeration Zealous for the
Lord. Romans 12:11 expresses that heart clearly, “Do not be slothful in
zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.”
The Gen “Z” youth
group meets on Friday nights from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. with grades 6 through
12 attending. The group meets together to study God’s word, play games,
enjoy snacks, and encourage one another in the Lord. No matter where
you are on your faith journey, you are always welcome at Gen “Z”.
"Be
diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not
need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth." 2 Timothy
2:15
In the Men’s Ministry, we are making this our goal. It’s not
just a sermon that we hear and “put on a shelf”, but a group of men,
first and foremost, having a desire to see God first in all areas of
their life, through being active in their relationship with God.
Discipleship. Fellowship. Relationship.
Do
you feel you have an elementary grasp or Ph.D. comprehension of the
Bible? Do not let this stop you from coming. This is the “work” after
you decide to be active with God. Whether you need to learn more or know
enough to help disciple other men and gain strong fellowship with
others, come and grow with us. You may struggle and get frustrated at
times but growing in the Lord takes perseverance and is less difficult
with other men to lean on when needed.
It’s not about physical
“strengths” or accumulated possessions, but men who are seeking God’s
truth for renewing their minds and following the prompts of the Holy
Spirit to live lives of righteousness with other men to help support
them. Colossians 1:9-14 is the verse we use to pray for each other and
to help us define our goals.
