Mission Statement

The mission of this Church organization shall be as follows:

A. To evangelize the unsaved through the proclamation of the gospel of the grace of God – 2 Corinthians 5:14-21.

B. To edify and equip the body of Christ through the proclamation of the Word of God for the work of the ministry. – Ephesians 4:11-15.

Core Beliefs

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the final authority on every issue in this life. It contains 66 books that were inspired by God in their original writings and were written by holy men of God who were moved by the Holy Spirit.

The Godhead

We believe in one God yet there are three Persons of the Godhead which we call the Trinity. We believe the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are equally God.

Salvation

We believe man was born with the original sin from Adam but also sins by choice. God sent His Son into the world to die for the sins of all mankind. Those who place their faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection will be saved (1 Cor. 15:3-4; Rom. 10:9-10).

Eternal Security

We believe God made known to us as Christians that we are to live a holy lifestyle (1 Thess. 4:3). God’s desire is that we walk by the power of the Spirit of God and produce fruit for His glory (Galatians 5:22-23). We are also created in Christ Jesus to do good works (Eph. 2:10).

Believer’s Walk

The Philosophy of Ministry

The Holy Spirit is to be the Master Teacher of every follower of Jesus Christ. As the under-shepherd of the church family, the Holy Spirit helps me to understand the truths of Scripture in order that I may be able to do the work of the ministry.

People are more important than projects of the church. The Body of Christ is made up of God’s people that need a shepherd’s love, care, and ministry. This is done in a variety of ways as individuals have afflictions, death of loved ones, spiritual needs, and family needs. It is the job of the pastor and the church family to minister to those in the church.It is God’s desire that believers reach the world for Christ and share His offer of eternal salvation.

My function as a pastor is to build up the members the Body of Christ in discipleship or group settings, as well as in the worship services. The result is that God is taking and “growing up” believers in their personal faith and helping them to become servants of the living God. In this manner, we learn to depend upon Him for every need in our lives and expand our horizons to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.

Senior Pastor

Pastor Les Takkinen has invested his adult life in studying, teaching, and preaching the Word of God. His main function as main pastor of Grace Bible Church is to love the people and minister to their needs. It is a privilege to serve the risen Savior!
